More than just getting older?
Two things men keep coming in for — losing muscle and living in a fog. If a few of these describe your last several months, it's worth a real look, not another shrug.

Strength that fades despite the work

Your TRT practitioner
Matthew founded HomeSteady Health to practice medicine without the clock and the profit-over-patient mindset of corporate care. Across more than 25 years, he’s practiced family medicine in the Alaskan bush, worked trauma and the ER in fast-paced Philadelphia, and built urgent-care clinics there. Today he serves on the board of Region 2 of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York, where he was named NP of the Year in 2025. He also lives the Finger Lakes lifestyle as an avid runner, grappler, basketball player, and coach — he also hunts, fishes, and is frequently out on Cayuga Lake. He understands the active life his patients live because he lives it too — and gives them the continuity of care he always wished he’d had.

Built on Direct Primary Care
HomeSteady Health is a Direct Primary Care practice — membership medicine built on time, access, and continuity. For men’s health, that model isn’t a side note; it’s the advantage. Real results live or die on the follow-through: in-house labs, steady monitoring, and adjustments made by the same clinician who already knows your history.
A rushed, insurance-driven appointment can’t deliver that. What you get here is a focused men’s-health practice built around the ongoing, lab-guided care that lasting results require.

Before I came in I was always tired, unmotivated, and just didn't feel like myself — even though I ate well and trained regularly. The change has been incredible. More energy, better mood and focus, getting stronger, sleeping better. Matthew's check-ins made the whole thing smooth and reassuring.
Your questions, answered
What causes brain fog and fatigue in men?
Common brain fog causes include sleep, stress, thyroid, blood sugar, and nutrient levels — all measurable. That’s why brain fog treatment here starts with real lab work: we find the cause instead of guessing, then build a plan around your numbers.
Is losing muscle with age normal?
Some change is expected, but muscle loss that outpaces your effort — weaker lifts on the same training, slower recovery, trouble building muscle back — isn’t something you simply have to accept. It’s worth evaluating rather than writing off as age.
Is this just about "getting older"?
“Getting older” is often a label put on symptoms that have a real, checkable cause. A focused evaluation with in-house labs tells you whether what you’re feeling is baseline aging or something worth addressing.
